Supporting pregnant women and their families

The AFPP (Australian Family Partnership Program) is a sustained home visiting program that supports women pregnant with an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait child and family to improve their own health and the health of their baby.

The AFPP is a voluntary program designed to support the mother from pregnancy up until the child is two years of age, with regular home visits from a Nurse Home Visitor and Family Partnership worker.

The Danila Dilba Health Service AFPP home visiting team and administration officer are all highly skilled and proud Aboriginal Women.

The AFPP aims to:

  • Improve pregnancy outcomes
  • Support parents to improve child health and development
  • Support parents develop a vision for their own future
