About the Role: Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Manager – Adult

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) adult program team. The SEWB Manager will lead and oversee the delivery of culturally appropriate and trauma informed programs delivered to our adult clients. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team to meet program deliverables effectively. Programs are designed to support the psycho-social well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, enhancing cultural competence and fostering a holistic approach to health that integrates cultural practices with evidence-based mental health strategies.

What You Need to Succeed

  • This is an identified role for people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

  • Qualifications in mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
  • 2 years of experience in SEWB, mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a related discipline
  • Well-developed knowledge of leadership and team management skills, with experience in overseeing and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic, and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.
  • High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar.
