Danila Dilba Aged Care Supports and Services

Danila Dilba now offers a range of aged care services, aimed to help our Elders remain living independently at home for as long as possible.

Access to these services is available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people aged 50+ living in the Greater Darwin region.

Services Offered

Danila Dilba currently offers a range of aged care services and supports, including:

  • Transport to and from appointments
  • Social and practical outings
  • Social group activities
  • One-on-one support to visit the shops or attend appointments
  • Allied Health services and equipment
  • Support with exercise and wellness activities

Costs

These services are provided free-of-charge to eligible clients.

Our Elders Support Services include:

  • Group social support (visits to local food banks)
  • SEWB Elders Group sessions
  • Transport to and from appointments/meetings:
  • Medical specialist appointments
  • Attendance at one-off consultation events or seminars
  • Continuing participation as a committee member for a community group
  • Social and practical outings for individuals:
    • Grocery shopping
    • Walking the dog
    • Coffee and chat at a local café
