We have a great opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated individual to lead our small Marketing and Communications team.  With the support of a creative and motivated Communications Officer you will work to increase our internal and external brand presence.

With a solid 2022 to 2026 Strategic Plan in place this role will be accountable for driving the comms, marketing, media, and brand initiatives that sit within our strategic priority areas.

This role will provide you the ability to impact the community, helping close the gap in Indigenous healthcare and wellbeing, while using your passion for everything MARCOM’s roles have to offer.

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation providing comprehensive primary health care to Biluru communities in the Yilli Rreung Region of the Northern Territory. We aim to improve the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural, and social wellbeing of our clients through innovative comprehensive programs based on principles of equity, access, empowerment, determination, and collaboration.

WHAT WILL YOU FOCUS ON

You will oversee the marketing and communications functions to strengthen the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services. Contributing to the delivery of best-practice, culturally accessible and innovative marketing, and communication strategies, to ensure that promotional and positioning activities complement our strategic plan.

Responsible for strategic internal and external communications, marketing, brand management, media and social media engagement, community health promotion campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

We are looking for someone who understands best-practice MARCOMS delivery and who can combine their thought leadership and influence to implement pragmatic and engaging campaigns to grow our relationships and leverage our voice.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Experience and knowledge in contemporary Marketing relevant to our context and the development, implementation and monitoring of innovative and integrated strategic Marketing solutions. 

  • Written and implemented successful internal and external strategic communication plans that assist in driving consistent and values-based brand ethos.

  •  
  • The ability to work with and influence key internal resources to the value of Brand, Communications and Marketing strategy.

  • High-level writing and editing skills for culturally diverse audiences.

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Proven cross-cultural competence that will translate to our context.

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications and/ or the equivalent practical experience

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Aboriginal) applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.
