Working hand in hand with our Social and Emotional Well Being (SEWB) team to gain positive outcomes for our clients.

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation providing comprehensive primary health care to Biluru communities in the Yilli Rreung Region of the Northern Territory. WHAT WILL YOU FOCUS ON

With a focus on Social and Emotional Wellbeing of our clients you will facilitate and co-ordinate social and therapeutic groups.   You will work closely with our SEWB team to co-design and facilitate group workshops with a focus on low intensity mental health.

You will also coordinate and actively participating in relevant community events to provide awareness and promote SEWB program.

Its critical in this role that you are able to provide cultural input and support to SEWB clients and staff members, hence why it is an identified role.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCEED

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or the commitment to complete in the following 12 months (this will be funded by the employer).
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients, carers, and other professionals.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements.
  • The ability to demonstrate cultural understanding and sensitivity of our clients and be able to translate that to on-the-job application.
  • Ability to maintain clear documentation and comply with confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and the ability to use relevant to the role.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, with an ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks and resources to deliver outcomes within time and budget considerations.
  • The ability and willingness to travel to multiple Darwin locations.

This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position, hence we will only accept candidates that identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
