Work to Begin Soon at New DDHS Palmerston Site!
It’s official! Work will soon begin on Danila Dilba’s brand new Palmerston Clinic and Health Hub following our purchase of land on the corner of Wilson and Ridge Street, Gunn.
The new $11.6m clinic has been funded by the Australian Government. It was great to be able to show Federal Member for Solomon Luke Gosling MP the new site last week.
The new clinic will be built close to the existing clinic and other services, including:
- TerryWhite Chemmart, just 400m away next to Western Diagnostic Pathology on Maluka Drive
- Territory Pharmacy, 600m away in the Oasis Shopping Village
- PharmaSave, 650m away in the Palmerston Shopping Centre (Target/Coles)
It will also be on the same side of Roystonea Ave as the Palmerston Bus Depot, meaning a safe journey to clinic for those clients requiring transport.
Community consultation on the design of the new clinic and community hub is already underway – architects (Kaunitz Yeung Architects) held their first workshops with community, stakeholders and staff in February. There will be more opportunities to get involved as work continues.
We want our new clinic to be a space where our community feel safe and supported to gather, connect and get the treatment they need.
